The department of Industrial technologies of SEAR GmbH is engaged in two fields of activity:
- Automation systems
- Manufacturing excecution systems (MES)
Our typical customers are processors or providers of raw materials, food and consumption, chemistry, petro-chemistry, utilities, environment etc.
We support our customers to optimally supervise, control and regulate their production plants with automation systems. The initial points being sensors and the actuators. They are installed wired and are connected by our engineers. Signal ways are then connected with programable logic controlers (SPS). The handling control and control logic is then lodged into software. Visualisation applications for control stations, evaluation possibilities as well as couplings to higher systems are then implemented.
Our manufacturing execution system ISYS® serves to coordinate the different production steps that run side by side in a manufacturing facility. The control system intercommunicates with the local automations, as well as with the ERP level of the enterprise.
The most difficult task of the manufacturing system is the optimization of the extent of production utilization. It must meet on the one hand the required default amounts from the ERP level and must on the other hand compensate possible irregularities like technical disturbances, unavailable material etc by careful, intelligent conversion.
The program ISYS® was developed entirely from scratch. We applied the most modern software engineering (e.g. .NET, SOA) in its respect. The innovative concept of ISYS® allows faster conversions of specific customer demands than is possible with conventional manufacturing execution systems. The customer remains flexible during the complete life cycle. New engines, changed production processes or additional processes can be easily implemented in ISYS®.
At the same time the system is made delightful by its orderly, visually attractive user interface. The coherencies are easily revealed by their analogy to popular software packages.
Automation and manufacturing execution systems are frequently independent of each other. However, the customer needs interlocking, solidly integrated systems, as good as we can supply:
- Local automation with all sensors and actuators,
- Central control, coordination and optimization with the MES,
- Integration of the MES into the ERP level of the enterprise
